SonicScrubber

Today my five year old, who is super observatant & pieces many things together & says the most off the wall...hilarious stuff, and I were watching TV. The Home & Garden Channel to be exact. YES...my children watch the Home & Garden Channel with me on a regular basis. I am hoping they will grow up to be creative adults. Anyways, an infamercial (sp) comes on...and it is for a tool/hand held scrubbing brush, what-ever you fancy calling it, called the Sonic Scrubber. The comercial was all of 1 to 2 minutes long. And there was a special, of course, that if you called within the next so many minutes they would include this extra cleaning head and ALL you have to do is pay the additional shipping and handling...BUT wait...for only 1/2 the price of the first one they will include a complete second one. All of you know how DRAMATIC these comercials are. (You can get ALL of this for only.....(insert price amount here)).

So, my five year old blurts out AWESOME!!! (Awesome is her new favorite word to use....and when she says it, you just simply never know what is going to come out of her mouth).

***Before I continue I must tell you that during the comercial it showed the various things that were more easily cleaned using this Sonic Scrubber...the shower, sink, stove, toilet, etc. And I also must tell you that I keep my house meticulously clean, and the girls are still in that stage where they like to help me because it makes them feel like BIG girls***

I say, "What's so AWESOME about that?" To which she responds, "If you bought one of those mom, you could quit using your toothbrush to clean the toilet." BAHAHAHAHAHA I am in tears laughing SO hard. I explain to her that it is NOT mommy's actual toothbrush we used to clean the toilet. It is one we have just for cleaning the many toilets we have in our house. She could care less about this fact, and says, "Well, I still think that scrubber was pretty awesome!" Who knew a five year old would think a Sonic Scrubber is 'AWESOME'.

Ava's first day of school

So, yesterday was Ava's first day of school. I was a little anxious about it because she is a VERY introvert child. I was worried she would start bawling, and I would have to reluctantly leave her, and she would be upset with me. BUT surprisingly, she went right in...smile on her face...kissed me good-bye...and went off to play with the other kids. I was impressed to say the least.

However, I was a little sad that my little girl is growing up SO very fast.

Here is a little something I made to commemorate her first day:
